Note: Apologies for the delay in posting this final entry. Whilst I had made notes, getting the opportunity to write things up has proved a little more difficult. Recovery and time with the family has been more of a priority. However, I wanted to complete the blog as a way of closure, so here it is. Saturday: Competition has been ongoing, and today was a good day for us in that regard. Lisa Carrington, our canoeist in the K200 powered away to win Gold in her final at Eaton Downey. It seems her power to weight ration is outstanding (she looks slight but compact and strong) and she is clearly something of a ‘pocket rocket’.  Given that today is the final day of competition for us, this was a great way to finish.
